Hester's double-double lands him Player of the Week award

32-year old forward Antonio Hester (198-F-1990) had a very impressive game in the last round for Zamboanga and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 5.
He had a double-double of 26 points and 12 rebounds, while his team outclassed, the league's bottom-ranked team Tigers (#8, 0-6) with 45-point margin 118-73. Thanks to this victory Zamboanga moved-up to the 6th position in ASEAN League. Zamboanga is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 3-3 record. In the team's last game Hester had a remarkable 56.3% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Zamboanga, being already a very valuable addition to the team. University of Mobile graduate has very impressive stats this year. Hester is in league's top in points (4th best: 24.4ppg), rebounds (6th best: 11.4rpg), assists (7th best: 4.2apg) and averages solid 61.8% FGP. Worth to mention Hester played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball.

Second best performed player last round was Isaiah Wade (201-PF-1998) of Macau. He is American forward in his first season at Macau. In the last game Wade recorded impressive 29 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists. Of course he led Macau to another comfortable win outscoring Tigers (#8, 0-6) 94-64. This victory allowed Macau to move up to 5th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 3-3 record is not bad and everything may still change. Wade is a newcomer at Macau and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 24.8ppg (#3). He also registered 12.2 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to center Chris McLaughlin (208-C) of league's leader HK Eastern. McLaughlin scored 17 points and grabbed fifteen rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of HK Eastern, leading his team to a 109-64 easy win against the lower-ranked Louvre S. (#7, 1-5). HK Eastern confirms their top position in the standings. McLaughlin has a great season in ASEAN League. After only 4 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 11.3rpg (7th best).
